Hi Everyone,

I wanted to update you  on our weather policy because of the rainy week they are calling for.

Rain:
Most of the time we will practice in light rain if it is warm enough. If the rain starts to come down too hard and the guards are not able to see the bottom of the pool we will stop swimming.

Storms/Thunder:

If it thunders before or during practice everyone will clear the deck for 30 minutes after the last thunder. Most of the time this will cancel the practice that’s happening during the thunder. However, if the storm/thunder clears out quickly we may still hold practice for other groups. Obviously, on a particularly stormy morning we will cancel practices across the board.

Cold Mornings:

Hopefully the cold mornings are coming to an end! If the temperature is below 55 degrees we will cancel practices up until it is warm enough.

Diving:

Dive practices that occur during a canceled swim practice will also be canceled.

Communication:

I will always send out an email to everyone in the event of practice cancellations and delays. The subject line will have specific groups and times.
